I'm part of an open source product develepment team and would like to use Zoho Projects to manage our open source product development. What should I do for obtain a free premium account?
Send a request mail to support(at)zohoprojects(dot)com. Mention your Zoho Projects portal URL which will be of the form http://*********.projects.zoho.com and the number of projects that you would want to manage. Your account will be upgraded and you will hear back from the support team in a couple of days.
Is Zoho Projects available in languages other than English?
Yes. Zoho Projects is available in the following 12 languages also - Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish & Swedish. More languages will get added in future.
How do I change my UI's language setting?
For changing the language, click on the Settings link at the top-right and choose the Language icon.
Though the UI is limited to one of the above 13 languages, Zoho Projects supports Unicode, UTF-8 char set. Hence it should be possible for you to type in any language all your projects' details.
Is it possible to archive my projects. If yes, are they charged for?
Yes, you can archive your projects. Click on the 'Edit project details' pencil icon next to the project name that needs to be archived.
Change the Project Status from Active to Archive and click on the Update button.
The project will now get moved under the Archived Projects heading in the left panel.
And only the live projects - the ones that are actively managed, not archived - are charged for.
I need to transfer my Administrator role to someone else. How do I do this?
Please write to support(at)zohoprojects(dot)com with your project details and the names, email addresses of yours and the person to whom the Administrator role is to be changed. We will do the needful for you.
Can I change the email address and project URL that I gave while registering with Zoho Projects?
Email ID can be changed by logging in to http://accounts.zoho.com. Click My Email IDs on the left hand side menu and change the Email ID. Portal URL can be changed by paid users only by sending request to support@zohoprojects.com.
Is Zoho Projects integrated with Zoho CRM (and other Zoho apps)?
Zoho Projects is part of Zoho Single Sign On. This enables you to access all other Zoho apps except Zoho CRM. Integration between Zoho Projects and Zoho CRM is in our roadmap.
Also, Zoho Projects is closely integrated with Zoho Writer and Zoho Sheet now. Your office files (typically .doc, .xls, .odt, .csv files) stored in the Documents section of your project can be opened, edited and saved backed as a new version from within Zoho Projects using the Zoho Writer/Sheet UI. You can also create from within Zoho Projects a ‘New Document’ or a ‘New Spreadsheet’ without resorting to any desktop based software.
Can I print my project details?
Yes, you can. Use your browser's Print function to print any Zoho Projects page
What are the browsers supported by Zoho Projects?
Firefox 1.5 & 2.0, Internet Explorer 6 & 7, Safari and Opera
I want to pay for a year. How can this be done?
Send your request to support@zohoprojects.com. A unique payment URL will be sent. This URL will contain a form where you can fill the payment details and do the purchase. Your Zoho Projects account will get activated soon.
I'm an Administrator and I added a few users. My users don't know how to login to Zoho Projects
For the users you added, they will be receiving an email about you adding them up and a random generated password. They can visit http://projects.zoho.com,/ type their email ID for user name and the password they got for logging in..
In case they haven't received the email (the email could have wrongly landed in spam/bulk folders etc), please ask them to follow the below steps :
- Visit http://projects.zoho.com/
- Click on the 'Forgot Password' link.
- Type his/her email ID (the same email ID that you used to add him/her as a user) as the login name and click on the 'Submit' button.
- The user will receive an email with a HTML link in it. Clicking on the link the user will be taken to a page where they can choose a new password.
- Using his/her email ID and the newly chosen password, the user can login at http://projects.zoho.com/
Can Administrator change/modify other user's passwords.
No, Administrator cannot change/modify other user's password due to underlined design contraints. Only the individual user can change/modify his/her password.
I'm not able to login with my user name and password.
Please check your password again.Check for space inbetween, CAPS LOCK while entering password.If still the issue persists use the "Forgot password" option to reset your password and try to login.
How to clear a project?
Login as the 'Administrator' for your Zoho Projects account and click on a project name at the left panel. The project dashboard that opens up has the project name at the top followed by icons. Clicking on the third icon ( X ) will clear all project details and only a blank project will remain. You can re-name it and reuse it for new projects.
Caution : Once you clear the project data, it can't be retrieved. We are coming up with a back-up facility soon that will allow you you to store all your project data to your computer before you clear a project. Till then use 'Clear Project' judiciously.
How to close account?
Login into http://accounts.zoho.com. In the left menu click on Close Account. Enter your password and log the reason for closing the account.
